They must have been embarrassed by how much they were ripping us off for because they gave us a gorgeous Purgeot 308 with full sun roof.
We needed it for an unrestricted view of amazing mountains and fjords. This place is way off my brother's specky chart. I can drive! And very comfortably!!
Unfortunately, Tricia was too fixated on enjoying the day to take a single photo. And I was concentrating too much when not picking up my jaw from the floor.
We pulled off the highway briefly to check our progress. Missed the turn to the ferry and gondola ride to the ultimate view around here. Do it tomorrow.
Tricia advised me to go that way. I obeyed. We were now driving on a footpath. I reversed and tried to ignore her directional utterances after that.
We arrived at our hotel to find a group of Man Utd supporters outside. What a welcome! They were gathering for the Man Utd v Liverpool match screening in the basement pub in one hour. Perfect timing!
There were 20 or so Man Utd fans and 6 Liverpool fans. All Norwegians and easily excited. The teasing was all in good taste, I think. The Liverpool goal resulted in as much noise as each of the three Man Utd goals. The perfect end to the perfect day.
